BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF LOKSABHA CONSTITUENCIES OF KERALA – 2009
After the restructuring of parliament constituencies the number of constituencies in kerala are 20. That is no change in number of constituencies. But some constituencies are disappeared from the map and some new constituencies are added to the picture. Muvattupuzha,chirayankil,adoor,manjeri,ottappalam are disappeared from the picture. This forces varkala radhakrishnan,pc thomas,chengara surendran to shift to new places. attingal,pathanamthitta,malappuram,alathoor,chalakkudi,wayanad are newly created constituencies.Mavelikkara constituency is marked as reservation quota. Muvattupuzha is attached to new idukki constituency. chirayankil is merged to attingal, adoor fused into pathanamthitta,manjeri to malappuram and ottappalam to palakkad.
